I’m thrilled and deeply grateful to share that my work has been recognized with the 2026 Home Excellence Award from What’s Up Media. This prestigious award honors exemplary designers across the Greater Chesapeake region, and it is truly an honor to be included among such talented peers.

When I submitted our project photos, I wasn’t thinking about winning. I was simply hopeful that our work would be well received. So when I received the notification that we had won, all I could do was thank God.

To God be the glory.

Every award, every project I complete, and every success I experience—I give all glory to Him. He has given me a gift that allows me to decorate homes and carry out my clients’ visions, and I never take that for granted.

This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the collaboration and trust of my amazing client. For this particular project, she envisioned a space where she could entertain family and friends while elevating the overall look and feel of her home. It was a true pleasure to bring her vision to life with thoughtful design, elevated finishes, and a focus on creating an inviting, functional, and beautiful environment.

I’m incredibly thankful to my client for trusting me with her vision and allowing me to create a space that balances style, comfort, and functionality. This award is a celebration not just of design, but of collaboration, intention, and meaningful spaces where memories are made.

I also want to give a special shout-out to Z Miller Photography, whose artistry gracefully captured the space. His photography perfectly highlights the details, textures, and atmosphere of the design, making every corner of the home shine.
